FAQs

How will my fabric be cut?

Cotton fabrics can be ordered in fat quarters, skinny quarters, half metres or single/multiple metres.

Jersey fabrics can be ordered in half metres or single/multiple metres.

Lengths above 1 metre will be cut in one continuous length. (For example if 1 metre and 1 half metre is ordered this will be cut as a continuous length of 1.5 metres).

Fat quarters will be cut individually. (For example if 2 metres and 1 FQ is ordered this will be cut as a continuous length of 2 metres and an individual FQ). If you require your fabric cut differently please include a message at the checkout.

A skinny quarter is 25cm length x full width of the fabric. A fat quarter is 50cm x half of the width of the fabric so the size of the fat quarter will vary depending on the width of the fabric. If the width of the fabric is 112cm the fat quarter will measure 50cm x 56cm. All sizes are are approximate as the printed width of rolls do vary very slightly.

How do I care for my fabric?

Fabric: We recommend washing your cotton fabric at 40 degrees or less, if tumble drying is required to tumble dry on low heat and to iron on a low heat.

We recommend washing your cotton jersey fabric at 30 degrees or less. Tumble drying is not recommended. When line-drying jersey try to double fold over the line so that the jersey does not stretch out of shape. Jersey fabric should need no or very little ironing. If it does, iron on low on the wrong side.

How long will my handmade items take to be ready?

All handmade items on the website are made to order and I aim for a turnaround time of no more than 14 days but at very busy times this may be longer. Current turnaround time (time to complete order from when the order was placed but then with added delivery time on top of that) will be displayed in the individual listings of each handmade item.

If you need an item sooner than the current turnaround time please do contact me and I will do my best to help.

Which size should I choose?

Clothing sizes can vary so please use this size chart as a guide for the size you will need.
